The founder
Provenance Interiors is a Santa Barbara-based interior design studio creating warm, timeless interiors for discerning homeowners throughout California's Central Coast. Led by principal designer Genevieve Pembroke, we balance form and function to deliver spaces that feel like you, only better – homes where every room tells your story with sophistication, comfort, and effortless beauty.

About The Studio
With seven years of design experience, I've learned that the best mornings start with strong coffee and fresh mood boards spread across my studio table. My work has been featured in Luxe Interiors + Design, California Homes, and Montecito Journal, and I hold a degree in Interior Architecture from [Design School].
When I'm not sourcing antique treasures at the Pasadena Rose Bowl or collaborating with local Santa Barbara artisans, you'll find me hosting dinner parties that inevitably become design consultations, walking Carpinteria Beach with my rescue dog Mabel, or attempting to keep my collection of fiddle leaf figs thriving (some more successfully than others).
What drives me most is the moment when clients walk into their finished space for the first time – that beautiful pause when they realize their home finally feels like them, but elevated in ways they never imagined possible.

With a background in architecture and construction management, James ensures every Provenance project runs smoothly from concept to completion. His attention to detail and vendor relationships throughout California make him invaluable for complex renovations.

Sofia brings five years of residential design expertise and an eye for mixing vintage finds with contemporary pieces. A UC Berkeley graduate with a background in art history, she has a talent for color theory and loves hunting for one-of-a-kind finds at local markets.
